WHAT WORKED

[01 THE COLOUR]


OCEAN BLUE: A crowd favourite and a complete fluke. 

we sent the wrong colour code to the mill.

The first of many WTF moments. 

We rolled with it, called it Ocean Blue,

And marketed the #&%^* out of that colour. 

A rookie error THAT became the most loved feature of the collection. 

[02 GOING GLOBAL]

The Longhaul did what it set out to do:

survive long-ass flights.

It stood up to the cabin pressure

and ticked off some epic cities -

TOK, LND, LAX, SAO, HKG, MEX ...

The sheer miles on that thing!

[03 FRIENDS]

Let’s be honest.

Friends aren’t obligated.

They don’t have to show up.

And they def don’t need to buy your stuff.

But, ours did.

AND that was the real highlight.

A life affirming moment we’ll never forget 💙

WHAT DIDN'T WORK

[04 FACTORIES]

Tran is about slowness;

factories are about efficiency.

A mismatch doomed from the start.

and hella stressful for both sides.

We got it done But never again.

We've found a better way.
(more on that soon).

[05 PRODUCT BUGS]

5.1 Pockets: too small.

People want bigger, deeper pockets.

Yes, even in this economy. 

5.2 Size (XL): not large enough.
MORE ‘extra’ in THE XL, pls.

5.3 gender-neutral size guides:

progressive in theory, confusing in practice.

WHAT'S NEXT?

And that is how to turn a fun passion project into a world of pain.
so, what's next for tran?
P.S they were wrong. We lost sleep, money and SANITY.
